Avatar Mova ("Avatar Mova," "we," "us," or "our") provides AI-powered conversational experiences that allow users to interact with simulated characters and personalities.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how it may be processed, and the choices available to you when you use Avatar Mova.
1. Information We Collect
Conversation Text
When you interact with an Avatar Mova character, we may collect and store the text of your conversations, including:
- questions and messages you submit;
- text generated from voice interactions;
- responses generated during your conversations; and
- information derived from previous conversations that helps provide conversational memory and continuity.
Voice and Microphone Input
If you use voice features, microphone audio is processed as necessary to recognize your speech and provide the voice experience.
Avatar Mova does not intentionally retain recordings of your raw microphone audio as part of your conversation history.
A text transcription of what you say may be stored as conversation data.
Third-party technology providers involved in processing voice or AI requests may process information according to their own applicable terms and privacy practices.
Technical and Usage Information
We may collect or generate limited technical and usage information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the service. This may include information such as:
- anonymous or pseudonymous browser identifiers;
- session and conversation identifiers;
- browser and device information;
- feature usage;
- request and error information;
- approximate timestamps; and
- usage counts and similar operational information.
We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to help us understand how Avatar Mova is used. Through PostHog we collect anonymous, aggregate behavioral events such as page views, which character was selected, the sequential number of each message you send within a conversation (for example, "this was your 4th message"), and whether the explainer video was started or finished. PostHog assigns its own independent anonymous identifier to your browser; it is not linked to the anonymous identifier described in Section 4 that supports conversational memory. We do not send conversation text, voice recordings, transcripts, long-term memory content, conversation identifiers, or any other conversation content to PostHog.
We do not intend to use conversation content for targeted advertising.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information collected through Avatar Mova to:
- provide and operate the service;
- maintain conversational memory and continuity;
- personalize and improve interactions;
- generate AI responses and voice experiences;
- develop, evaluate, test, train, and improve Avatar Mova, its AI systems, models, prompts, safety systems, characters, and related technology;
- understand how the service is used;
- troubleshoot technical problems;
- prevent fraud, abuse, attacks, or misuse;
- enforce our Terms of Use; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
Conversation text may therefore be used both to provide your individual experience and to improve Avatar Mova more generally.
3. AI Development and Improvement
Conversation text may be analyzed and used to develop, evaluate, train, test, and improve Avatar Mova and its AI-powered experiences.
Where reasonably practical, we may take steps to remove or reduce information that directly identifies a user before conversation information is incorporated into datasets used for longer-term product or AI improvement.
Because conversations may be used for these purposes, please do not submit information that you would not want processed as described in this Privacy Policy.
4. Anonymous Users and Conversational Memory
Avatar Mova may assign an anonymous or pseudonymous identifier to a browser or device so that conversations can maintain continuity without requiring an account.
For anonymous users, conversational-memory records are retained until they are deleted through an applicable privacy request or are otherwise no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Avatar Mova does not currently operate an automated process that deletes anonymous conversational-memory records after a fixed period, such as 90 days. We may introduce automated retention limits in the future, and this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe them if and when they take effect.
Information that has been reasonably de-identified or incorporated into aggregated or product-improvement datasets may be retained for longer periods where permitted by applicable law.
If account functionality is introduced in the future, retention practices for registered accounts may differ and this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
5. Service Providers
Avatar Mova relies on third-party infrastructure and technology providers to operate the service.
Depending on the feature being used, information may be processed by providers that supply services such as:
- artificial intelligence and language-model processing;
- speech recognition and voice synthesis;
- cloud hosting and application infrastructure;
- databases and data storage;
- security and abuse prevention;
- product analytics and usage measurement (see Section 1); and
- operational monitoring.
These providers may process information on our behalf or as otherwise described in their applicable terms and privacy policies.
We do not sell your conversation content to data brokers or advertisers.
We do not use your conversation content for targeted advertising.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to technical, operational, security, and legal requirements.
Our intended MVP retention approach is:
- raw microphone recordings: not intentionally retained by Avatar Mova as conversation history;
- anonymous conversational-memory records: retained until deleted through an applicable privacy request or otherwise no longer reasonably necessary; Avatar Mova does not currently delete these records automatically after a fixed period such as 90 days;
- operational and security records: for a period reasonably necessary to operate and protect the service;
- reasonably de-identified, aggregated, or AI/product-improvement information: potentially for longer periods.
Retention practices may change as Avatar Mova develops. Material changes will be reflected in this Privacy Policy.
7. Data Deletion and Privacy Requests
You may contact us to ask questions about your information or request deletion where applicable.
Because the current version of Avatar Mova may be used without creating an account, we may not always be able to reliably identify which anonymous records belong to a particular person.
We may request information reasonably necessary to locate and verify the data associated with a request.
Future account functionality may provide additional self-service controls for managing or deleting conversation history and account data.
8. Children
Avatar Mova is intended for a general audience and is not intended for children under 13.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances where retention is not legally permitted, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Parents or guardians who believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information through Avatar Mova may contact us.
9. Sensitive Information
AI conversations can sometimes become personal.
Please use discretion when sharing sensitive information. Avoid providing passwords, authentication credentials, financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, or other information that is unnecessary for your conversation.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled through Avatar Mova.
However, no Internet service, database, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have rights concerning your personal information, such as rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your data is processed.
We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.
12. International Users
Avatar Mova is currently operated from Texas, United States.
If you access the service from another country or jurisdiction, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Additional privacy rights may apply depending on your location.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Avatar Mova is an evolving service. We may update this Privacy Policy as our features, technology, business, or legal obligations change.
When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and provide additional notice where appropriate or legally required.
